Welcome to Antwerpen Braider. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website at antwerpenbraider.com and the booking of our mobile braiding services across Belgium. By accessing our website or placing a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Please read these Terms carefully. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use our website or services.

We provide professional hair braiding services at your location (mobile) or at our hub location across Belgium. Our services include box braids, cornrows, knotless braids, twists, locs, updos, and more.

2. Eligibility

By using our website and booking services, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age, or you are a parent/legal guardian booking on behalf of a minor
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
  • All information you provide during booking is accurate and complete
  • You are located in Belgium or are booking for a service address in Belgium

3. Booking & Appointments

3.1 Making a Booking

Bookings are made through our online booking system at antwerpenbraider.com/booking. A booking is confirmed only once you have received a written confirmation email and payment has been successfully processed.

3.2 Service Types

  • Mobile Visit: Our stylist travels to your specified address. A travel fee may apply depending on distance.
  • Hub Visit: You visit our hub location. A Hub Service Fee of €10 applies.

3.3 Accuracy of Information

You are responsible for providing accurate contact details, service address, and appointment preferences. We are not liable for missed appointments or failed service delivery due to incorrect information provided by you.

3.4 Appointment Confirmation

You will receive a booking confirmation via email and/or SMS. Please check your spam/junk folder if you do not receive a confirmation within 30 minutes of booking.

4. Pricing & Payment

4.1 Prices

All prices are displayed in Euros (€) and include Belgian VAT where applicable. Prices are subject to change without notice, but confirmed bookings will be honoured at the price quoted at the time of booking.

4.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards, Bancontact, and other payment methods available through Stripe. By providing payment details, you authorise us to charge the total amount due for your booking.

We do not store your full card details. All payment data is handled by Stripe in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.

4.3 Additional Fees

  • Hub Service Fee: €10 applies to all hub/salon visit bookings
  • Travel Fee: May apply for mobile visits depending on distance from our base location in Antwerp
  • Hair Products: Unless otherwise stated, the price of hair extensions or braiding hair is not included in the service price

4.4 Failed Payments

If a payment fails or is declined, your booking will not be confirmed. You will need to rebook with a valid payment method. We are not responsible for any losses arising from failed payment transactions.

5. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

5.1 Cancellation by You

More than 48 hours before appointment: Full refund issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

24–48 hours before appointment: 50% refund. The remaining 50% is retained as a late cancellation fee.

Less than 24 hours before appointment: No refund. The full booking amount is retained.

No-show: No refund. The full booking amount is retained.

5.2 Rescheduling by You

You may reschedule your appointment free of charge if you notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Rescheduling requests made less than 48 hours before the appointment may be subject to a rescheduling fee. Please contact us at home@antwerpenbraider.com to reschedule.

5.3 Cancellation by Us

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments in exceptional circumstances (e.g., stylist illness, emergency, severe weather). In such cases, you will be notified as soon as possible and offered a full refund or alternative appointment date.

5.4 Refund Processing

Refunds are processed via Stripe to your original payment method. Processing times depend on your bank or card issuer and typically take 5–10 business days.

6. Service Delivery

6.1 Mobile Services

For mobile appointments, you are responsible for ensuring a suitable, clean, and safe working environment at the service address. This includes adequate lighting, a suitable chair, and sufficient space for the stylist to work. We reserve the right to refuse service or leave if the environment is deemed unsafe or unsuitable.

6.2 Service Duration

Estimated service durations are provided as a guide only. Actual duration may vary depending on hair type, length, density, and the complexity of the style chosen. We are not liable for delays caused by factors outside our control.

6.3 Hair Preparation

For best results, your hair should be clean, detangled, and dry before your appointment. Failure to prepare your hair appropriately may result in additional charges or a reduced service. We reserve the right to decline service if hair condition makes it impossible to deliver the requested style safely.

6.4 Satisfaction

We strive to deliver high-quality results. If you are dissatisfied with the service, please raise your concern with the stylist during the appointment or contact us within 48 hours of the appointment. We will work with you to find a reasonable resolution.

7. Communications

By making a booking, you consent to receiving transactional communications related to your appointment via email and/or SMS. These include booking confirmations, appointment reminders, and cancellation notices. These communications are necessary for the performance of your booking contract and cannot be opted out of.

Marketing communications (promotions, newsletters) are sent only with your explicit consent and you may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any marketing email or by contacting us directly.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, logos, graphics, and design — is the property of Antwerpen Braider or its licensors and is protected by Belgian and EU intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website without our prior written permission.

9. Acceptable Use

When using our website, you agree not to:

  • Use the website for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent booking information
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the website
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse our staff or stylists
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from our website

We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel bookings, or ban users who violate these Terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Belgian law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of our services or website
  • Our total liability for any claim arising from a booking shall not exceed the amount paid by you for that specific booking
  • We are not liable for delays or failures in service delivery caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure), including but not limited to extreme weather, transport disruptions, or public health emergencies

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Health & Safety

You agree to inform us of any scalp conditions, allergies, or sensitivities before your appointment. We reserve the right to decline or modify a service if we believe it may cause harm. We are not liable for adverse reactions resulting from undisclosed conditions or allergies.

Our stylists follow strict hygiene protocols. If you or anyone in your household is unwell on the day of a mobile appointment, please contact us to reschedule.

12. Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belgium. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Antwerp, Belgium.

If you have a complaint, please contact us first at home@antwerpenbraider.com. We will make every effort to resolve disputes amicably. You also have the right to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically.
